What's Inside?

Share with people why they should invest their precious time and energy in your organization.

A client’s touching success story coupled with strong numbers about your overall community impact is highly valuable.

Don’t be afraid to laugh, to cry, to get upset with the injustices you’re combatting - be totally open about this with your volunteers.

What do you do when you first meet a prospective volunteer? How will they know that they can make a difference to the communities you serve?

The best way to do this is by sending a follow up letter to every prospective volunteer that walks through your door.

Make it clear that your volunteers are part of a larger mission.

For example, Habitat for Humanity is an organization that frequently sends emails detailing national efforts that they are involved in to secure decent housing for the entire country.

You must develop systems in your organization that streamline the above process and make connecting with volunteers a foundational piece of your non-profit. The best way to do this is with volunteer management software.

  • Make event preparation easy
  • Track volunteer hours
  • Provide contact information
  • Make volunteer appreciation easy
